About
CouLisseMen is a trombone ensemble formed in May 2013. “Coulisse” means “slide” in French symbolizing the action of trombonists. The founders are seven local passionate young trombonists namely Cheng Kai-ming, Yip Wing-bun, Matthew Lau, Frankie Ko, Kenneth Tam, Stephen Wong and Samson Tsoi. Members include current HKBU music students, alumni and music graduate from overseas.

The aim of CouLisseMen is to provide a platform for local trombonists to promote and develop trombone chamber music in Hong Kong. CouLisseMen had its debut performance in Slider Asia 2013 in July and has actively gained hands-on experience through regular rehearsals and performances in different occasions. They play a great variety of repertoires ranged from re-arranged classical music to 20th century contemporary music and pop music.
